They don't take pictures of the driver, they take a short video of the intersection so there's proof that the light turned red before the vehicle passes the line. They also take a picture of the license plate, in order to identify the vehicle. Also, the OP's fiance's dad would have this evidence provided to him along with the ticket, and wouldn't be asking for help if he knew they had irrefutable evidence.
No, you're wrong again. The difference between the camera and getting pulled over for a tail light ticket is that it's a cop and YOU were driving when you got pulled over in PERSON. On Cameras it's the responsibility of the owner. So yes, you could borrow your ex's car and rack up some tickets and totally fuck her.
Some kids did this up north to a principle or something like that at their school. They rented the same style Ford Taurus and made a "plate" that was the exact same as the principle's and drove through a bunch of speed and light cameras.
