But to SOME people pride is important. And part of sitting there and let some asshole with a minum wage wanabe power position take your shit and hit you "just because he can" would take your pride. I for example, would loose a lot of respect for myself had i known i couldnt even stand up for myself i sat there and let someone beat me down take my shit while i stared at them. But again, to some people getting your shit taken, taken a few punches to the face is fine as long you get a couple of dollars out of fine. Pride and self respect arent what they use to be.
It's not about getting paid at the end of the day, it's about getting retribution. It's not about laying down and taking the hits, it's about picking your battles.
I don't care if you take him to court or you wait for him to be alone in the parking lot and come at him with a baseball bat. You can keep your pride at the end of the day as long as you feel the score is even. There's no sense in standing up for yourself when you're at a huge tactical disadvantage, because all that's going to do is get you dead and the other guy feeling even better about himself than he was before.
Standing up for yourself when you're almost guaranteed to get your ass handed to you isn't being proud, it's being fucking retarded.
