If I'm reading this correctly, your dash and harness match, and you are going carbed? You should be fine then. The only wiring you need on a carbed motor is keyed power to the starter, keyed coil hot, tach, and alternator wiring. All of which can be pulled out of your harness, scrap the rest, and hook it up.
you are reading it correctly, and yes on just the bare minimim keyed hots, head and tail lights. I was thinking this way as well as far as having matching dash and harness
