well i was told it blinks because it has a MP1A tranny in it, which i believe is a prelude tranny....so the ECU reads an error when there's not...the light was blinking when i first got the car. it only starting acting like this when i got the water pump replaced. i think it has to be a timing issue, and by tear it apart do you mean a rebuild?
