Bro, take it from me..... I used to be a Bakery Manager at Publix, I was with them for 8 years, and left about 8 years ago, when I decided I wanted to go back to school and get a degree. If you want to get paid with publix, ROI, and kiss a lot of ass and make your shit look good. I did it in the bakery department and it worked out extremely well. I still know they are having a hard time finding managers to fill positions unfortunately, you cant just walk in from the street and be a manager.... it takes about 3-4 years now. I have many contacts within the organization over there to this day. When I was a manager at Publix in the bakery I was pulling down about 55K a year with no college degree only high school education working 50 hours a week, now 55K for a 22 y/o with no college is golden. I did get burned out though and now I am in Pharmaceutical Industry pulling down about 90K a year and loving the fact that i can sit in my a/c office surfing the internet about 10 hours a night. But I will say Publix helped me score my gig I have now, it is looked at being somewhat as a higher entity from HR and hiring managers. Stick with it.
