You've never met me.
But I'm borderline redneck. I've worked construction my whole life. I dip snuff and spit into a cup with tissue paper at the bottom . I wear old jeans and tee shirts most of the time.
But on the opposite end of the spectrum,.. I'm into techno/house music, I like my music loud with a lot of bass. I'm into all kinds of electronics, home theater setups, I'm upgrading or rebuilding my computer every 6 months with top of the line hardware. My son loves it because he gets all my hand-me-downs to upgrade his computer. I'm in school now learning programming and computer security and forensics. My wife calls me a techno redneck.
I'll be 45 in Jan. I was in my late teens and early 20's when Fox cars were brand new. My first brand new car was a 1989 Mineral grey GT. I've also own a 1969 Shelby GT500 and a 1969 428 Mach 1 R code car. (Dual carbs and the 4.30 gear 9 inch rear and factory roll bar with harness straps.)
To me stripes are just the boy racer look. I dont know how stripes and rednecks got associated together. Maybe all the rednecks doing crappy vinyl stripes set too far apart or too thin. I still like stripes.
Same car as the red one,.. but I changed the color to this electric blue. My wife really likes the Iroc blue. I wanted to see how it would look. I tried to get it into a metallic grey,.. but it didnt come out so good.
.
Something like this,.. but the stripes need a thin pin strip on the outter edges to finish them off. I wouldnt do the side strip with strips down the middle of the car. And definitely not that hood or front bumper cover either. The most I change on my car is the hood. I think the stock body lines are fine. I'm into the boxy edgy look. It screams "my generation".
