I do know that feeling though... my XR was my daily driver for 4 years while I built and banged on it along the way, and it suffered several failures at events. It about broke my heart a bit when it did. But I learned to be a bit philosophical about it... when it breaks, build it stronger, and keep at it. I'm sure you're the same way.
Wearing out a rubber peice is not breaking a spec-v it's par for the course in 70,000 miles I had to replace every mount and bushing on mine with poly. And Johnny doubled my mileage on his spec.
