Im not going to set here and try to be some internet thug so im going to leave it at that.
there’s no way on a d series you will make a 275whp+
i can see maybe 200-240 max and that’s pushing it hard
b18c1 with a nice drag kit with hondata will put down 275whp+
b18b1 with a drag kit and hondata 240whp+
now look at the base hp with those two engines
c1 170hp cr 10.0:1
b1 140hp cr 9.2:1
d16y7 more or less 100whp
now when you exceed the 14psi (more or less pending block condition) you run the risk of cracking, melting, blowing, etc the sleeves
yes this doesn’t have to be a daily car but my biggest point is the simple fact that there is no way to make that much hp with a d 16y7 i could see maybe a sleeved y8 with some great head work and allot of money invested in a turbo kit
the hf mani is a great idea because of the plentiful of them and the price but the flow of it isn’t the best for the numbers you want a tubular mani is almost the only way to go imo
not to mention the flow of the d series heads simply sucks in comparison to the b series simply their economy engines
ya sorry for being a "internet hardass" in my first reply but your hp estimations are just ungodly high
now id love to see a d series do that but its not realistic
greatest thing about d series is that their a lot cheaper that b series so when you blow one you can pick up another for a lot less than a b series which makes the idea of building a d series all that much sweeter
