i'd use a Cometic head gasket. it's worth the money. and you can get them in .030". ARP studs are a must, you can't re-use the stock head bolts, and they are the same cost as a set of head bolts from the dealership.

personally i'd go 9:1. more bottem end power. you only need 8 on a drag car.
