It really doesn't matter.
A full body coilover like the Progress ones are probably a shorter shock compared to stock length Koni/KYB/Tokico shocks (Koni's can be shortened and custom valved), allowing you to sit a bit lower and it keeps the shock in it's sweet spot. But unless your rediculously slammed (compromises suspensions and handling anyways), you won't need it. And if you do, Ground Control makes custom top-hats to increase shock travel.

Regardless of that, almost any shock will blow if you use springs that are too stiff or if the car is too low. Biggest thing is what your gonna use it for. If you wanna be slammed, your ride will be compromised regardless. But if it's gonna be a daily driver at a more reasonable ride height, I'd probably go with the Progress Coilovers. It's the same price as Illumina/GC or AGX/GC combo. If you plan on racing or autocross, stepping up to Koni's might be a good idea and it's not that much more.

Personally, if I could pick my shocks/springs again, I'd go with a Progress coilover. But instead of the normal 350f/250r rates (Off the shelf rates for GC Coils for CRX, Progress sells them too), I'd probably go with something stiffer. Maybe 350f/500r (stiffer rear spring will help the car rotate). Then I'd invest in a good adjustable rear sway bay and front fender braces. And if I had the tools/money/time, I'd re-place the bushings with OEM rubber.

Research, research, research. Here's a few good links:

It's about the CRX, but the CRX and DA suspensions aren't that different.
The first link is probably the best read. Lots of info about what your asking.
