I personally have never even heard of an oil pan gasket that just slid right off. They usually took a little scraping and picking and all of that to get them off.
So, to pull the oil pan off/out, you have to at the very least, raise the engine.

I'm guessing you've never worked on a car with a 1 piece moulded rubber oil pan gasket then

But yeah, uhh no, s-chassis generally use either a cork type gasket, or just rtv, you're gonna need to remove the pan, clean everything, apply new rtv, then reinstall.

Yes it is possible to take care of this without completely removing the engine though.
