It COMPLETELY depends on the application, EVERY honda vtec motor is deifferent. There is NO magic #. Don't mean to break your heart. The best engagement point is one that is linear on a dynograph, giving you a steady endless climb in hp and tq to redline. The best engagement point won't even be noticed, it should'nt even be noticed while driving.
