Yeah...I've been that route...pulled the head and replaced the head gasket. Ended up melting down shortly there after. SO i'm not terribly confident in doing so again. NOt so much that my work was wrong...more so that I know that better compression will often lead to failing high mileage bearings.
I'm honestly considering a full rebuild, in which the "no smoke" could be an option, as I save to get it done fully or maybe finally going SR...not so sure about Ka-T and could even consider Ka-R as an option too.
