yea i have never done it myself but its just a fitting to the aircompresser to keep pressure in the cyl so the valve doesnt fall so u can change the seals(whenever my seals need replaced i take my head to general crank and get Everything replaced cleaned port/polish... just did that last month...) when i have changed them myself it was due to a bad headgasket.
