+1 on the cable activated clutch.
My cables have never broke. I have seen Hondas with 250 K miles in the junkyards. Hydraulics slowly go away giving you time to fix it...sometimes.....

I prefer the feel of a cable clutch. Every hydro clutch I've driven has no feel.
But they where all Euro cars (BMW 330, VW Jetta TDi, Volvo S40), so idk.
