Don't worry too much bout the motor burning oil so long as you keep the level within range. I wouldn't let it get you down. Also, no you can't change valve guides with your method...that is only for changing out valve springs and retainers.
Was actualy going to use that method for the seals not the guides....It worked on the Chevy
I will probably just leave it alone and add oil as I go
