The race heat exchanger is only 2" thick which is way thinner than most front mounts.I would not down size on it. The front mount we use on turbo kits is 3.5" core and we don't have a heating issue even in Florida. The radiator sounds good but not all slim line fans are equal.

We only use SPAL and they our perform anything we have tested. There's a lot of chinese slim line fans that don't move as much air as stock fans and can cause heating issues.
My Type R ran 450whp daily with AC and a 3.5" precision intercooler and never got over 190F.
