Toe eats tires. Not camber.
When you lower a car, you 'gain' negative camber, but as camber changes, so does the toe. If you get a camber kit and correct the camber, toe will be corrected as well. But you can just adjust the toe and NOT eat tires. If your running extreme camber inorder to be 'hella flush' or whatever, then yes, you might kill your tires. A drop and a good alignment and sporty tires (which are made to handle somewhat aggressive suspension and alignment set-ups), should not eat tires. If it does, there's something else going on (low tire pressure, tires rubbing somewhere, etc).
