You really dont want to re-surface the Rotors with any fords that are... i would say 10 yrs old or newer. You can buy new rotors for not too much more and only have to replace them once. Instead of going through this head ache again when those rotors start to warp cause they are so thin. That way you can know your girl is safe.
But... it might not be anything to do with the brakes at all you said the squeak comes from the left side on the front of the car and only when you turn forward in that direction not in reverse.
It could be your CV joint or a few things in the front suspension.
The key is when you turn are you going slow like 5mph or faster 20mph+? If it does squeak at all speeds does the squeak get louder or higher pitched the faster you go? Also when you turn and it makes that noise is your foot on the brake at all even lightly?
I know that seems like alot but you post those details and that will narrow it down to a few thinggs instead of all 50 it could be.
