Technically you are taking away power with a turbo as well. Do you really think forcing all the exhaust through that tiny turbine housing is good for a motor? How about 20-40 lbs of backpressure in the exhaust? Think thats the key to making power?

A turbo takes away power, just not as much as a supercharger.
