^ exactly what I was thinking...plug the vac line running to the brake booster and retry. Be careful because you will no longer have vac assisted braking...it will be hard to stop. If your motor doesn't die after you do that, check/raise the idle rshared_pm and raise it some and clean out the idle air control valve and then reconnect the brake booster.
