I let my car warm up at least 5min before I take off. It gives the oil a chance to warm up and "thin" out a bit so it circulates better. The oil is thicker when cold, my car shows 75psi when cold and 18psi at temp, that is a big difference!

I figure it is better to be safe then sorry.
