My diesel will not get off the peg unless you drive it, even if you let it idle for 20 minutes, but it does allow the engine to hit operating temp about a half mile sooner on my commute like clockwork if I let it idle about 5 minutes before I leave. Sumbitch still takes almost tenmiles before the oil is to temp (pressure goes to normal)
