I had one of those on the lower rad hose on the black car. It came loose twice. Then the third time it completely broke in two pieces. I'm not sure how that happened. I replaced it with one of those that's a flat wide metal band, and one screw that tightens it. No problems with it yet.
Its called a worm clamp, and I'm not worried about the radiator hoses. I'm worried about all the small ones under the manifold, turbo and behind the block that will make me wanna shoot my car.
