Since most of the power in this country is still generated by coal powered plants we're just robbing peter to pay paul.
technically we are using whatever peter doesn't need to sell to paul for his own uses.
that and the environmental cost of producing the electricity is less than the car pushing out emissions from its tailpipe.
it doesn't matter anyway because in the end the market will come back to fuck us all...corporations are gonna make their money one way or the other...and it might be cheap electricity now, but someday it won't be.
