A gun can be a lot more dangerous than any dog. But you act as if the dog isn't a living, breathing animal capable of independant actions and thought. You can't blame every dog snapping on a bad upbringing. There are plenty of stories of loved and disciplined dogs one day deciding they're pissed off and letting theit NATURAL INSTINCT take over. And then someones dead or in the E.R.

There are plenty of bad dogs.

And I'm not against ownership of breeds like Pitts. But really, you need to be prepared and equipped to end that animal's life in the blink of an eye to save someone from injury. Fact of the matter is a full grown pit could drag most people on this board around even while on a leash. If that dog decides it wants something, just like with any big, muscular breed, taze it or shoot it. Because thats the only way you're stopping it. (yes, tasers are incredibly effective on dogs.)
