True story! My son was feeding our Patterdale Terrier one day and went to pet him while he was eating. The darn dog turned around a bit him on the face. He has a nice little scar now because of it. BUT....The dog was punished, and trained, and now doesn't even look at anyone funny when they mess with his food.
It was OUR fault for not training him or seeing the warning signs. Not the dogs fault for doing what it had to do when it lived on the streets. (We got him as a stray)
Exactly. It took my parents and I multiple years to act around our dog the way we do now. She was abused by previous owners, so God only knows what's messed up in her head.
