If he is rethinking the $1500 I don't think that he will want to do a AWD conversion. I did mine. Lucky for me I got a free donor car but I still spent lots of money on all kinds of other things that go with the conversion. Although the AWD is nice, lol Also hope you are a good welder or know someone who is and will hook you up!
My buddy had his auto tranny built from
IPT and they are about to do mine. They do great work.
