I am willing to bet, like most Americans, myself included, the majority of pitbull opponents are probably gun owners. That means that statistically, they or their family members are more likely to be killed or severely injured by firearms in their own home than by a pitbull.

I have never, nor will I ever, owned a pitbull. However, this country was built on individual freedoms and we face a constant intrusion by the government trying to ban this, or regulate that. With these freedoms should come an equal responsibility and a violation of these responsibilities should result in criminal punishment.

Many people are fine with banning or regulating other's freedoms, but when what they enjoy (guns, fast cars, pitbulls, cigarettes, etc) fall into the crosshairs THEN the government has gone TOO FAR!!!!!!!!!
