By doing what you just described you are effectively trapping the oil vapor from being pulled from the VC into your intake manifold and eliminating the burning of oil and carbon build up on the piston tops and valves.

You would run both lines from the VC to the can and cap off the IM. This method allows to the crankcase vapors to vent to atmosphere (emissions illegal of course) while trapping any oil vapors in the can and allowing the driver to drain the can at intervals.

Since my catch can isn't vented . Could i tap a hole at the top of the can throw a nice fat nipple on there and put a breather filter on it? then i would be able to block of IM nipple and run the pvc hose to catch can and side vc hose to catch can . that would "technically" make it a Vented catch can am i right?
