Yeah I didnt think about the Bugatti. There was a thing about them on the Discovery channel the other night. I totally spaced out and forgot the motors in those. 1000hp is hard to dismiss.

But,.. I've still read where several guys are claiming to have put down between 900 - 1100 on the stock 03/04 Terminator short block. And there is a guy with a Forg GT I think he is local or from O-town or possibly soutch fla somewhere,.. but I know he frequents Tampa a lot,.. anyway,.. he's supposed to be pushing 1200 hp using twin turbos on the stock short block in his Ford GT. This is the guy that races the Hayabusa's for $10k or pinks and keeps a stack of ForSale signs behind his seat.

So the Ford mod motors,.. particularly the modular blocks are bar none the best factory produced blocks. There are several factory blocks in pro stock cars making 1500 - 1600hp.

The new Coyote engines are still using the same bore spacing and same basic design as the original mod motors. I mean 400hp NA from 5.0 liters with a warranty and mass produced is pretty impressive to me.
