LS gearing is just not optimal for drag racing... This could of course be changed by changing the final drive ratio, but the LS as is just doesnt provide the same acceleration as a GSR or B16.... I run a GSR with an LS final and Wavetrac B16 diff (same as LS) and I love it....

There is a guy on here selling a 93 GSR transmission WITH a spare GSR gear set for like $400... You should look into that
