Bleh I am going to try and specialize in security. Very interesting stuff. Firewalls etc.
Computers are not just languages and platforms its a science. There is data structuring logic design algorithm study chip design etc. Thats basically what USF does it teaches the basics of computer software and hardware and leaves the language/platform selection to yourself. Ive been programming in C and VB for about four-five years now and thought I knew alot...well I was wrong. USF really taught me a lot about the fundamentals. Anyone can pick a language go to the bookstore buy a book and in a month know how to make programs but its a lot more in depth than that. And just because technology is changing and languages/platforms are constantly being upgraded doesnt mean that the fundamentals are changing.
