Depends on how much power you plan to make. The 7.5 rear from the na mustangs was holding fine for me putting down 238rwhp and 310 pds of torque. Far as i've seen and been told after 350rwhp is when the 7.5's start blowing gears. The 2.3L blocks are also fine whether their n/a or turbo blocks. Their made of the same stuff just diff in journals. Only thing that is needed is to upgrade to pistons and rods from the turbo motors and tap the oil pan for an oil return line.
