Doesn't really matter what your size is, it's your DPI that they look at when they print.
You could have a 800 x 1200 but the DPI only be 72, so printing poster size will look like shit and pixelated. To go any bigger then an 8 x 10, maybe 11 x 14, you need to have it at least 200 or higher.
Along with that, you should dumb it down a bit....PPI of your image only really has to equal what DPI the printer is capable of.
Example: I could send a 1920x1280 30MB, 300 DPI to wal-mart and get a shitty print.
Chose your print sites carefully.
