IIRC, the TOB only makes noise with the clutch not depressed. If everything underneath looks good then it's probably in the tranny with the luck that comes along with this stuff..

Depends how fucked it is.
My first TOB that came apart in my hands after dropping the tranny would screech CONSTANTLY. Clutch in, clutch out, it didn't care - it just changed the tone of screech.
