Sometimes its not necessarily the driver. What you have to remember is the cobra has about 100 more rwhp and a very hoppy IRS. We cant just drop the clutch and lauch it like you can in the mach1. We have to be careful or we can breake a halfshaft. But if we launch to soft we bog, launch to hard and you just spin and hop through 1st and 2nd. High hp and a week rear suspension makes for a tricky launch. Having DR's or slicks would cure the problem, but then we have to be extra careful or we will definatey break a halfshaft. The IRS can handle alot of hp, but just not a strong launch. For example, Nitrous pete ran a 9.9@130+ with the IRS. X2C motorsports ran a low 10@140 with the stock IRS. But they all bog it off the line and use the power of the car to make up for it.

If you look at the cobra's that have swapped to a live axle, stock cobra's are doing 11.9's, pullied cobra's are doing 10's.
