I would not call it the Mustang club even though most of us do have Mustangs but the Ford forum meets up about 1-2 times a month at various places.
The turnouts have been a little weak lately but I imagine once the weather starts to cool off people will start coming out.
The new GT's are good but a Mach 1 or Cobra would be better and they are pretty cheap right now since most dealers want the '03 models off the lot before the '04 models hit.

Mach I's all the way.. The drivers of the Mach I's seem to be better drivers than the 03 Cobra guys as witnessed by many watching Aharon driving.. OOpps. I mean by watching some other 03 Cobra driver..

Sometimes its not necessarily the driver. What you have to remember is the cobra has about 100 more rwhp and a very hoppy IRS. We cant just drop the clutch and lauch it like you can in the mach1. We have to be careful or we can breake a halfshaft. But if we launch to soft we bog, launch to hard and you just spin and hop through 1st and 2nd. High hp and a week rear suspension makes for a tricky launch. Having DR's or slicks would cure the problem, but then we have to be extra careful or we will definatey break a halfshaft. The IRS can handle alot of hp, but just not a strong launch. For example, Nitrous pete ran a 9.9@130+ with the IRS. X2C motorsports ran a low 10@140 with the stock IRS. But they all bog it off the line and use the power of the car to make up for it.
If you look at the cobra's that have swapped to a live axle, stock cobra's are doing 11.9's, pullied cobra's are doing 10's.
