This is the kind of info I'm looking for. I spin a turbo that can make 700+hp but the power band sucks. I'm not looking to make that kind of power though. I want torque early rather than a short powerband.
Why kind of power do you think it will take to spin a larger blower?
You are saying 2 contradictory things. Without getting technical or into compressor maps, turbos or centrifugal superchargers capable of supporting 700 or 750hp are not going to generate lots of torque early in the powerband like you state you want..and especially not on a small displacement engine like the 2.4L Nissan.
It sounds like you want turbo responsiveness at lower engine speeds but you are describing it as lower RPM torque with a wide powerband. A properly sized turbo or centrifugal supercharger with a well designed and sized impeller will help with that. Just going with a larger size compressor, be it turbo or supercharger, will not.
