IE any coaxial speaker will work. Unhook all of the HU's speaker leads from your car and one at a time hook it to the speaker. If it works like that you're in luck, the unit is only protected. If not, it's possibly busted.

so i tried what you said and got no sound from anything so i am thinking that the head unit is done. but im still wondering what is causing the issue if it isnt that wire from the amp to the sub then what? im stumped
