How many LS1's, KA's, SR20's with everything, or any other engines have you actually had on a scale ?
A little bit of info for you, your KA also uses a cast iron block, if you didnt notice, the crankshaft is similar in length, and also similar in weight, your intake manifold is cast aluminum, mine is a composite, your front accessory brackets cast steel ? Mine aluminum, combine that with the location of where my engine actually sits, and that things also get balanced out by the transmission which weighs more shifting the weight rearward, and down low, and things dont go nearly as off as tim is hoping.
FYI there is only a 60 or so lb difference between an aluminum LS1 block and the iron block. My engine weighs less than an RB, and the weight is also further rearward, when you have some facts, please feel free to try and attempt an arguement.
