Try shooting at a longer focal length, and start with more of a 3/4 shot of the car like this, or this. (Pay no attention to the boring framing on the first one, just the angle of the car.) Once you get a decent 3/4 shot you can move on to trying other angles.

Also, this is just personal preference, but try to stay away from shots that have to be cropped to anything that's not a 3:2 or 4:3 ratio. If you have to crop it excessively wide then you're not framing the shot properly IMO.
