Alpine MRD-M1000 Excessive Current
Keep receiving this error message on my amp.. Was working fine for about a day, then the subs cut out and the error message E-3 displayed on the amp, which states "excessive current, eliminate excessive current, power off, then back on." I've looked over everything, including ground, fuse, power wire (4awg), re-wired the subs parellel (they weren't wired parallel originally), even ran it through a capacitor which held 13.99v, still no activity from the subs. The amp has a digital display which monitors Volts, Amps, Temp., and one other thing I can't remember. It's reading perfect voltage, but no longer reads amps (was reading perfect amps before, even with the E-3 code). Anyone have any ideas? I've spent hours searching google and found nothing. LMK any information.
Thanks,
-Jared
