After that I did some listing what parts i'd need to make 400 rwhp how i'd like to, and what it would take with an LQ9, factored that in with the cost and hassle of maintaining things with the SR20, and the fact that I had a GTO T56 sitting that cost me $200 and needed ~$200 in parts to fix it, just makes sense, not to mention the better driveability of the larger engine.

Anytime I happen to need a replacement part i'll be able to run to the local parts store and get it, i'll cruise at low rpm, still get about the same fuel mileage and be able to run 10 sec et's on the bottle, win win win
