These replica seats arent likely to either, I dont think there has been anything substantial shown to show that they can, may, or are likely to. I'd really like to see one with the fabric removed to see the frame, seriously a sturdy frame really wouldnt cost all that much to make.

Yes seats can take some serious force in an accident, i've witnessed this firsthand, and know what my seat looked like after my wreck, but until someone around here posts some facts, just a bunch of annoying whining kids bitching about a "knockoff" because one word is embroidered on the headrest.

It would be interesting to see some pics posted of a car in a similar wreck with these "knockoff" seats:
