yeah i hear ya, if you all could get it to my shop i would let you use the lift but i am like 2 hours away, i wish i was closer to help, but once you have the motor in you can put the tranny in with a jack and some stands

That's what I had in mind. I didn't have a hoist when I put mine in, did it the hard ass way and left the axles and tranny in place when I pulled my 7 bolt and swapped in the 6 bolt. It was definately a tight ass fit haha. But yes, motor then tranny from the bottom is the best plan, save time and money versus transporting it.
