not sure if anyone in this forum has ever owned one before, but ive seen a few ppl post their 2.3t's up on here. anyway heres the story. car runs fine when normal driving, but at WOT ill go into boost and at about 3500 rpm itl break up real bad, then clear out, and pull well from 4k to whenever i let out. ive checked for leaks and such and cleared them all up, disconnected the knock sensor, changed the oil and filter, etc... did everything i could think of so far to make the thing quit doing what its doing. fuel pressure is set at 39 psi, and i have the boost set at 14 psi just for now. im wondering if maybe its running too rich in that spot to do any good. if this is the case what can i do to fix it? i havent gotten my wideband on it so i dont know for sure but a few other ppl i have spoken with seem to agree. more boost? timing? anything? ive got new ignition parts and a vc gasket on the way for it, and a ranger roller cam that will go in when the vc is off. any suggestions are welcome. thanks in advance.
