I wish there was a solution for the D's, mine is hosed for the third time now. IIRC, the 92-95 ex/si trans had the steel forks and the 96-00 had aluminum forks. Do a search on
D-series.org under "transmission alley" and pay particular attention to posts by Transex and Aquafina, they seem to have the most experience rebuilding them.
I talked to aquafina on honda tech and he didnt have much to say, maybe im a bad driver, i thought about cryo treating, but need to look more into it. 96-00 had the steel shift forks, but its hard finding a nice ex transmission.
