No you can program an lc-1 wideband controller to output a wideband signal that is 0v=21 a/f and 1.1v=7.8 a/f

Narrow band gauges read from 0-1.1v...in essence that would mean I am using my narrowband to display a wideband signal...and believe me it DOES work.
