a motor is a motor but not all machine shops have the right tools to bore the subi motor right. If a machine shop hasn't bored/honed a ej257 they probably aren't going to have the right torque plates to do it right. I don't want to end up with a fubared build because my bore is tapered or off. Also they have to have the right hone cutter to reach the bottom of the cross hatch.

I called Godwin-Singer and they told me they dont have experience with the Subaru motors and that fitbeko is the 1st one they are doing so they wouldnt even have accurate pricing until they are done with his. I would be putting the block together myself, i'm just looking for a machine shop that has the right tools and has done subi motors
